ABIGAIL DEJARNATT

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Why Counteract USA: Growing up, I was a dance and musical theatre girl, and I thought I was going to do professional choreography. Basically, I thought I had my life planned/figured out multiple times. But when I started college in 2019, God broke my heart for the Christians of my generation whose faith seemed so easily shaken by the lies of culture. God moved in me and began to open my eyes to how His Word directly applies to culture and politics. By the end of 2020, God was calling me to surrender all my plans to Him—and I never could have anticipated what He had in store. Flash forward to June 2021, God brought a few gals together in a coffee shop to discuss and apply how the Bible directly speaks to cultural and political issues, and He’s been moving in Counteract USA every day since. I cannot even begin to comprehend all He’s done and is going to do! To Him be the glory! Fun fact: I still choreograph for a local high school musical theatre department! Favorite Verse: This changes almost weekly, but right now it’s Revelation 12:10-11 and Revelation 21:5-7!

ALLIE PARIS

Chief Operating Officer & Director of Development

Why Counteract USA: In 2021 the Lord tugged at my heart to trust Him with my future plans. I thought I had it all figured out. I was going to finish college early with a bachelor's degree in Business Marketing and then go on for an MBA. However, God was burdening and working on my heart to go into the realm of culture and politics. When I first attended Counteract, I could tell there was something different about this group compared to the other groups I had tried. This group put God at the center of everything. What they addressed stemmed from what the Bible said, not the other way around. There was no attempt to hide their faith or not bring it up in conversations. Counteract has been amazing in my life, and has given me life-long, iron-sharpens-iron friendships that push me towards Jesus every day! Fun Fact: I have road-tripped to 48 states! Favorite Bible verse: Recently I've been loving Matthew 6:31-33.

NICK KIRKMAN

Men's Cell Coordinator

Why Counteract USA: Counteract USA had been on my radar for awhile thanks to a good friend/mentor of mine! But after having a big fallout in 2020 with my political side I decided I didn't really want anything to do with politics much less a organization that centered itself around politics. But God started to work in me during the 2021 season. Counteract USA was brought up to me numerous times and how they needed a mens chapter. So I started to learn more about what counteract was, and how they were grounded and invested in Biblical truth instead of just politics. God started to show me the importance of bridging the gap from culture and politics back to my worldview. And how putting my faith and trust and relying on the steadfastness of scripture in cultural and political spheres gave me a greater mission than just political change but spiritual change. And that is exactly what Counteract is about! So in May of 2022 I helped launch the first Men's counteract cell and the rest is history! Fun Fact: I'm a semi-profesional Disc Golf player! Favorite verse: John 1:16 — "For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”

ALEX JARVIS

Women's Cell Coordinator

Why Counteract USA: A couple of years ago I was living in LA and pursuing a career as an actor! However, the Lord started stirring in my heart a real need for change in this country and an understanding that the foundation of the Gospel was the only way to do it. Little did I know, halfway across the country, God was forming an organization that does exactly that! After moving to the area, I got involved with Counteract USA as a way to build community with like-minded believers and to help me navigate day to day political conversations in a way that brings them back to the Gospel! Fun Fact: I am a huge Loretta Lynn fan! Favorite verse: Matthew 6:34 — "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
