NWA MARCH FOR LIFE
On January 29, 2023, our Counteract USA Ozark cells and NWA Respect Life hosted the first ever post-Roe March for Life in Northwest Arkansas!
The march began at St. Vincent’s in Rogers, Arkansas, and ended at First Baptist Rogers for a time of celebration, praising God for the victory of Dobbs, and learning about our mission as Christians in the next phase of the pro-life movement.
The march was incredibly successful with a crowd of over 600 people coming together to celebrate the joy of life! Once at the church, everyone was welcomed inside to continue with a time of prayer, praise and worship, a Procession of Roses to honor the lives of the unborn every year since Roe began in 1973, and a panel to discuss what this next phase will look like for the pro-life movement.
Though Arkansas is one of the most pro-life states in the country, with a near-total ban on abortion following the Dobbs decision, there is still work to do in the fight for life.
During the rally, Abigail DeJarnatt of Counteract USA, Sheila Pursell of NWA Respect Life, and other leaders of pro-life resources in Northwest Arkansas shared and discussed ways members of our community can continue to stand with mothers, fathers, and unborn children in our community.
Our fight is far from over, but praise God for the progress that has been made!
